We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as comfortable, convenient, and rewarding as possible. We'll use the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options. Drs Montoure, Hanson and Teske will give you the customized, individual care that you deserve.

Every smile starts with a complimentary consultation!

Your complimentary consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your complimentary consultation, Dr. Montoure, Dr. Hanson or Dr. Teske will:

  • Review your dental and medical history forms.
  • Provide a complete oral exam to determine if treatment is necessary.
  • Help you create a customized treatment plan.

During your complimentary consultation, we will explain everything that you will need to know about your orthodontic treatment so that you can choose what's best for you - no strings attached. If treatment is recommended, a member of our front desk team will prepare an estimate for you and discuss insurance and payments plans with you. If you'd like to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Montoure, Dr. Hanson or Dr. Teske please call our Shady Lane office at (920) 499-3721 or our Cardinal Lane office at (920) 884-2808.

What happens after the initial consultation?

If you choose to receive orthodontic treatment, you will need to schedule a few appointments.  These can vary depending on what treatment is advised.

  1. Diagnostic Records: models of the teeth, radiographs and photographs. (Approximately 1/2 hour).
  2. Consultation: discuss the diagnostic records and treatment plan with parents and/or patients. (Approximately 1/2 hour).
  3. Place Separators (If needed).
  4. Begin Treatment: placement of orthodontic appliances. (Varies by treatment type; approximately 1 - 2 1/2 hours).

At the end of your placement appointment, you will receive detailed instructions on maintaining and care of your appliances.

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist every 8-10 weeks for a checkup is an important part of your orthodontic treatment.  Appointments vary in length depending on what treatment is needed and we will do our best to work with your schedule.

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
